Step 1

Open up a new document 800x800px, and fill the background with the colour #121212.



Step 2

Create a new layer named 'main background'. Using the Rounded Rectangular Tool make a selection in the middle of the document (similiar size below). Fill the selection with the colour #0b0b0b.



Step 3

Now add the following blending options to your latest layer: Outer Glow and Stroke.



Step 4

Add some text for your navigation.



Step 5

Add a box behind your text and fill it with the colour #2e5b8a.



Step 6

Now add a line underneath the links about 580x8px using the Rectangular Tool. Fill it with #2e5b8a.



Step 7

Now for your banner, create a new layer named 'banner' and make a selection of 580x120px. Fill with a gradient from #2e5b8a to #0a4096. Add some highlighting at the bottom of it using the Dodge Tool.



Step 8

Add some banner text for the title of your portfolio, hopefully you can come up with something more original :) I have added a simple stroke and motion blurred layer.



Step 9

Now we are going to do the content area. Create a new layer named 'content' and make a box (similiar to my one) and fill with #121212. Add an Outer Glow.



Step 10

Add some fill-in text.
