Step 1

Create a new document 800x800px. Fill the background with #151515 (Edit > Fill).



Step 2

Create a new layer named 'grunge brushes'. Using the brush tool with a grunge brush, brush around the middle - in different colours until you get something that you like.



Step 3

Create a new text layer and add your website's title. The font styles that I have used is Sofachrome, Regular, 36pt, Smooth, #ffffff and #a60000. Apply an Outer Glow and Satin blending options to your text.



Step 4

Create a new text layer and add some 'coming soon' content, I have used the same font, and changed the size to 24pt. Use the same blending options as you did in step 3 for this layer.



Step 5

Duplicate your 'coming soon' text and flip it vertically (Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical), remove the blending options from the layer and move under your original layer.



Step 6

Add a layer mask to your 'coming soon copy' text. Apply a gradient from white to black on the layer mask within your text, so the text gradually fades away. Lower the opacity of the layer to 25%.



Step 7

Lastly we are just going to add some sub-text in, so create another new text layer and add in 'photoshop tutorials' or something under your website's title, the font that I have used here is BitLow, Regular, 10pt, None, #eeeeee.
